My Grandpa, David Bailey Clegg, is a Jazz pianist from Mosman, who keenly participated in the Sydney Jazz scene in the 1940s and 50s. My Grandpa carries around a deep nostalgia for the music of the Swing era, (some of which we play on this album) which would circulate the radios and concert halls during his childhood at the time of World War 2.
Throughout my time growing up, my grandpa's reminiscence would rub off on me, and now i feel the same deep nostalgia for these tunes that he does. My Grandpa is the reason I love improvising and playing music to this day.

These recordings are an attempt by us to share that nostalgia and create something new with it- or, just get together and play some songs we love as we have always done and will do for many years.
